Der Argentinische Dogge wurde in Argentinien von Dr. Antonio Martinez Nores in den 1920er Jahren entwickelt.
The Dogo Argentino is an elegant, graceful, well-balanced dog. It is heavy-boned and incredibly muscular, with a large head, strong neck and deep, broad chest giving the appearance of incredible strength. The Dogo Argentino is loyal to the family, playful and intelligent; it is an excellent guardian of the home. This breed enjoys human companions and is happiest when close to its owners.
White, markings on the head, including eye patch, are permissible, minimal ticking on the coat is permissible.
The short white coat has no undercoat. The coat is very short and thick, smooth and glossy. The single white coat is very easy to care for and has no doggy odor. Pay special attention to the nails, as they tend to grow very fast and therefore need frequent clippings. This breed is an average shedder.
No genetic defects, generally it's a healthy breed. However, to make sure that you get a healthy puppy, you should buy a Dogo Argentino puppy from a reputable Dogo Argentino breeder.
