The Beagle has a charming, upbeat personality, admirable courage and stamina. It makes an excellent family pet, it is great with children and eager to romp and play. Beagles are scent hounds, developed primarily for tracking hare, rabbit, and other game. They have a keen sense of smell and tracking instinct that sees them employed as detection dogs for prohibited agricultural imports and foodstuffs in quarantine around the world.

Colors:

Beagle may be a combination of the hound colors: white, black, tan, red, lemon and blue mottle.

Coat:

The Beagle has a short, hard, dense, and weatherproof coat. It is minimal shedder.

Health Issues:
