Why the Dachshund is the way it is
Most people when they see a Dachshund for the first time are struck by it's odd shape. Long like a sausage, with long flappy ears, they wonder, "Why on earth would anyone breed a dog like this?" The reason is, that Dachshunds were bred as hunting dogs, and their long shape and low height makes them uniquely suited for tracking small game and plunging headfirst into tunnels! True to their breeding, these dogs display an unusual thrill of hunting for small game. They will enjoy chasing them down through tunnels or through small places. Euro Puppy!
