2.1. Contacting Breeders Based on Publicly Available Data

The Data Controller contacts breeders based on publicly available data to establish cooperation and include them in the database. It also provides breeders with the opportunity to initiate contact and apply for advertisements.

2.2 Handling Breeder Data in the Euro Puppy Database

The Data Controller maintains a database of breeders who have consented to the processing of their data. The breeder may also provide the name and contact details of other individuals involved in breeding. The breeder is responsible for ensuring that they are authorized to share and handle this data.

The Data Controller also processes breeder data for puppy sales.

We provide interested customers with the contact information of breeders who have specifically consented to this. We draw the breeders’ attention to the fact that, in some cases, data may also be transmitted to interested parties from third countries. In the case of delivery services, the data necessary for the shipment (name, address, contact details) are provided to the logistics service provider. The Data Controller informs the breeder about the service provider.
Data retention periodUntil consent is withdrawn or the processing purpose is achieved, whichever occurs first. In case of a puppy sale, the data is retained for up to 10 years, or until the expiration of claims arising from the sale.

2.3 Handling Contact Data of Partners

The Data Controller handles contact information of partners and representatives during contractual relationships, which may include personal data (e.g., name, email, phone number).

3. Data Transfer to Third Parties

Personal data will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent, except in cases required by law, during authority procedures, or when subcontractors (e.g., accounting, courier, or postal services) are involved in fulfilling contractual obligations. Our data processor partners in third countries all comply with the regulations on the handling, use, and retention of personal data as set out in the “Privacy Shield Framework” established between the United States and the European Union, as well as between the United States and Switzerland. 4. Data Security Measures

The database is stored on EuroPuppy’s computers and on the cloud storage provided by its data processor.

We use IT tools selected by EuroPuppy and its data processors to manage, process, and protect the data. These systems ensure that only individuals with the appropriate permissions can access the data, and that only they can record, read, transmit, modify, or delete the data. The technologies in use guarantee the integrity and security of the data throughout the data management process.

EuroPuppy draws attention to the fact that electronic messages transmitted over the internet may be vulnerable to certain threats, which could lead to fraudulent activities, data disclosure, or data alteration.

5. Your Rights

You have several rights under the Regulation, including:
