Protecting your privacy is important to us and we recognize that your information must responsibly be used. The following statement will help you understand how Euro Puppy collects, uses, safeguards your personal information and what rights you have regarding them.

This is the Privacy Statement of Euro Puppy LLC, hereinafter Data Controller, as the operator of the website available at www.europuppy.com.

In this Privacy Statement, we lay down our practice pertaining to the management of personal data included in the Customer Database of the site, organizational and technical measures taken to protect data, and information given of the rights of data subjects and the enforcement of such rights.

We respect your rights to privacy. In consideration of these rights and fully respecting the provisions of Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter: GDPR), we manage and record data given voluntarily by registered Customers only in the extent for which they gave their explicit consent.

2. MANAGED DATA

Visitors may visit the website without disclosing their identity or providing any personal information. To purchase or order a selected dog, you will provide personal data. Registration is not required for submitting an order. Euro Puppy requires only such data that qualify as personal data (pursuant to the definition included in Point 1, Article 4 of GDPR). Data submitted by you will be recorded in Euro Puppy’s Website Customer Database.

Personal data to be provided by Customers:

  • name, company name
  • email address
  • telephone number
  • mobile number
  • shipping address (zip code, city, street, number)
  • billing address if different from the shipping address

In the Customer Database, Customer’s buying habits are recorded including:

  • time of purchases
  • amount of purchases
  • purchased goods
  • shipping method

Data recording and management will be done on the basis of your voluntary, informed and explicit consent. Before confirming an order, you are given the opportunity to review and accept this Privacy Statement. In order to submit an order, you will review and accept the Privacy Statement.

3. LEGAL GROUND OF DATA MANAGEMENT

Data management will be carried out on the basis of your voluntary consent or when processing is necessary for the performance of a contract.

4. PURPOSE OF DATA MANAGEMENT

Euro Puppy will manage personal data and buying habits recorded in the Website Customer Database to

  • fulfill the orders submitted through the website,
  • manage warranty claims pertaining to dogs (complaints, replacement),
  • provide additional services and discounts based on purchases,
  • develop and improve services and products,
  • send newsletter,
  • record and analyze buying habits to reach all these ends.

Euro Puppy may not use personal data for any other purpose than indicated. Each phase of data management will comply with this purpose.

5. ACCESS AND DISCLOSURE TO THIRD PARTIES

Some of our services and features require that we share information with other users or at your request. We may also share your information with a number of trusted external service providers for certain technical data analysis, processing and/or storage offerings or newsletter management. These service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection and security standards.

We shall not disclose personal data to third parties in any event without your explicit consent, with the exception of cases prescribed by law or required by administrative proceedings, or if we use subcontractors (accounting, courier or postal service providers) to meet our contractual obligations. In the latter case, the subcontractor performing delivery services are bound by contractual terms to use your data only to fulfill contractual obligations. Subcontractors are not entitled to keep such data or disclose them to third parties for further use in any manner.

Your email address might also be added to this list as a result of making a purchase. We may also store additional information you give us (eg. first name, last name, breed you are looking for) to provide extra services.

If you receive emails from us, we may use certain analytics tools, to capture data such as when you open our email or click on any links or banners our email contains. This data helps us to gauge the effectiveness of our communications and marketing campaigns.

We use Sales Autopilot LLC.’s (registered office: 1024 Budapest, Margit krt. 31-33, félemelet 4-5.) service as Data Processor for managing our subscriber lists and sending letters.

8. ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics and Google AdWords.

Google Analytics is a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics does not identify individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. We use reports provided by Google to help us understand our website traffic and website usage. Google AdWords has free conversion tracking features on certain pages. If you contact us online, the destination page will have code on it that will help us understand the path you took to arrive on that page.

We also use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device’s IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile. Neither Hotjar nor we will ever use this information to identify individual users or to match it with further data on an individual user. We use the “visitor action pixels” from Facebook on our website.

This allows user behavior to be tracked after they have been redirected to our website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of Facebook ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by Facebook, which is why we are informing you, based on our knowledge of the situation. Facebook may link this information to your Facebook account and also use it for its own promotional purposes, in accordance with Facebook’s Data Usage Policy.

9. DURATION OF DATA MANAGEMENT

We generally retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us and to comply with our legal obligations. This is usually until the expiration of warranty, that is a maximum of 10 years, or until data subjects’ request to erase data.

10. DATA PROTECTION MEASURES

Data of the Customer Database are stored on Euro Puppy’s computer system.

IT tools selected by Euro Puppy and Data Processors are used to provide data management, data processing and data security. These systems ensure that data may be recorded, read, transferred, modified or deleted only by persons with appropriate authorization. The tools also guarantee that the integrity of data is preserved during processing.

Euro Puppy will inform you that electronic messages transferred via the Internet are vulnerable to threats, which may result in fraudulent activities, information disclosures or modifications.

11. YOUR RIGHTS PERTAINING TO THE MANAGEMENT OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

You may exercise any of the rights described in this section by sending an email to [email protected]. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before taking further action on your request.

Managing Your Information

You may access and update some of your information through your Account settings.

Rectification of Inaccurate or Incomplete Information

You have the right to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information concerning you.

Data Access and Portability

You are entitled to request copies of your personal information held by us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and/or request us to transmit this information to another service provider (where technically feasible).

Data Erasure

If you no longer want us to use your information to use our service, you can request that we erase your personal information. Please note that if you request the erasure of your personal information:

Euro Puppy will inform Customers that erased data may not be recovered and if it is erased within 10 years, warranty claims cannot be enforced.

Withdrawing Consent and Restriction of Processing.

Where you have provided your consent to the processing of your personal information, you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an email to [email protected] specifying which consent you are withdrawing. Please note that the withdrawal of your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing activities based on such consent before its withdrawal. Additionally, you have the right to limit the ways in which we use your personal information, in particular where (i) you contest the accuracy of your personal information; (ii) the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of your personal information; (iii) we no longer need your personal information for the purposes of the processing, but you require the information for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or (iv) you have objected to the processing pursuant to the next section.

Objection to Processing

You have to right to require Euro Puppy not to process your personal information for certain specific purposes (including profiling) where such processing is based on legitimate interest. If you object to such processing, we will no longer process your personal information for these purposes unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for such processing or such processing is required for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

12. ENFORCEMENT OF RIGHTS

In the event Customer feels that Data Controller violated his rights to privacy, he may enforce his rights by turning to a civil court or to the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Act CXII of 2011 on Information Self-Determination and Freedom of Information includes detailed provisions for these proceedings and for the obligations of Data Controller.

You may object to the processing of your personal data, if processing or disclosure is carried out solely for the purpose of discharging Euro Puppy’s legal obligation or for enforcing the rights and legitimate interests of Euro Puppy, the recipient or a third party, unless processing is mandatory; if personal data is used or disclosed for the purposes of direct marketing, public opinion polling or scientific research; and in all other cases prescribed by law.

In the event of objection, Euro Puppy will investigate the cause of objection within the shortest possible time inside a fifteen day time period, adopt a decision as to merits and will notify you in writing of its decision. If, according to the findings of Euro Puppy, your objection is justified, we will terminate all processing operations (including data collection and transmission), block the data involved and notify all recipients to whom any of these data had previously been transferred concerning the objection and the ensuing measures, upon which these recipients will also take measures regarding the enforcement of the objection. If you disagree with the decision taken by Euro Puppy, or if we fail to meet the deadline specified for making the decision, you may turn to court within thirty days of the date of delivery of the decision or from the last day of the time limit.

By making a purchase, you accept the content of our Privacy Policy, and give your consent to Euro Puppy to manage your data as set forth in this statement.
