The so called ‘White German Shepherd Dog’ is called like this for a reason: It’s been bred of the wite coat genes of the well-known German Shepherd. The courageous White Shepherd is perfect for protection: it will not hesitate one second to risk its life to save the human pack. But it needs to feel close to them: it is not recommended to leave a White Shepherd alone for a longer period of time.
As this alert dog can learn very easily, it can fulfil various roles: it can be used as a guide dog, guard dog, herding dog, or whatever is necessary.
Temperament
This self-confident dog is very loyal and protective type. The White Shepherds Dog tends to be quite playful and curious, they need a lot of fun and care. They love children: it is one of the most suitable breeds for a family with children.
Also, this is a good breed to train: it likes to learn and it learns fast. Although the White Shepherd is a self-confident type, it can act slihtly aloof with strangers, but this is one of the characteristics which make it a good watchdog too. This breed should never be aggressive, or if so, there has to be something wrong with the maintanance or the blood line.

Medium length, dense, close-lying double coat or long double coat; abundant undercoat covered with hard, straight protection hair; face, ears and front of legs are covered with shorter hair; at the neck and the back of the legs the coat is slightly longer. Slightly wavy, hard hair is permitted.
Gesundheitsprobleme
Generally healthy. But they may suffer from hip dysplasia. To help prevent the chance of hip or elbow dysplasia developing make sure your dog is on a healthy, well proportioned diet, and avoid excessive running and jumping while still a puppy as this can be hard on the developing joints.
Lebensumfeld
Country or city living is fine, but only as long as adequate attention and exercise is given. A fenced yard is essential to stop the dog from wandering. The owner of a German Shepherd should be strong and confident to control this powerful and forceful breed.
