Just a quick note to say Hello! I’ve attached a recent photo of “Wild Thing” the Akita we purchased from you last November.
We renamed him “Lennox” and he has been a real joy to everyone in the family. He transitioned with ease into his new home and has been easy to train. We attend puppy training classes once a week and he responds well to direction. He has been well socialized, loves people, children and all animals. We have a six year old daughter who plays with him constantly and he has bonded with her extremely well. We live on three acres so he has plenty of room to roam. I’m amazed how much attention he attracts from people when I walk him, very few recognize that he is an Akita breed but do remark on what a handsome dog he is at just six months old. We are looking forward to many years of joy he will bring to our family!
In closing I just want to thank you for representing such fine puppies! We love our dog and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again or recommend your puppy service to anyone looking for quality pets!

Acerca de Akita Inu Raza
El Akita Inu debe su nombre a la prefectura de Akita, en el norte de Japón, donde se desarrolló durante siglos en las montañas escarpadas de Tōhoku. Sus antepasados, los Matagi Inu, eran perros de caza valientes utilizados para rastrear, acorralar y retener presas grandes y peligrosas, como osos negros, jabalíes y ciervos, en la nieve profunda.
Durante el periodo feudal japonés, el Akita japonés se convirtió en un tesoro para la clase samurái, criado selectivamente por su mayor tamaño, fuerza e instinto protector. Su posesión estaba reservada solo a la nobleza y la clase guerrera. En 1931, Japón declaró oficialmente a la raza como monumento natural nacional, reflejando el profundo respeto cultural que los japoneses sienten por este perro.
Hoy en día, el Gran Perro Japonés es un fiel guardián familiar y un compañero entregado. Aunque ya no se utiliza para la caza ni la guerra, sigue llevando su instinto natural de alerta y protección al hogar. Esta raza es ideal para dueños experimentados y seguros, que le ofrezcan liderazgo tranquilo y constante, y un entorno donde se le trate como a un verdadero miembro de la familia.
El Akita Inu es la raza spitz nativa más grande de Japón: poderoso, bien proporcionado y hecho para terrenos montañosos. Su amplia cabeza de aspecto de oso, el cráneo plano, el hocico fuerte y corto y las orejas gruesas inclinadas hacia adelante le dan una expresión orgullosa y atenta. Los machos miden entre 64 y 70 cm a la cruz, y la cola fuertemente enroscada sobre la espalda crea la silueta inconfundible de la raza.
