Hi Eddie,

I just wanted to let you know that Mini has finally arrived to Doha Qatar

and he is doing great! Tomorrow he has an appointment at the vet,we couldn’t

take him today because its weekend here so vet is not opened today.

I will send you updated pics for you guys and the breeder plus a vet update

tomorrow. I also want to send a full detailed email as a reference. You have

been absolutely wonderful and have sent me the most beautiful puppy,he is

truly just amazing and loving! I could not have asked for more and its

thanks to Europuppy and the breeders, thanking you is not enough.

Find attached a small picture of Mini when he first arrived last night to

his new home.

Thank you so much Eddie, you have been a true professional and pleasure to

correspond with.

I will email you tomorrow with full update.

Kindest Regards

Amal

Hi Eddie,

Mini is wonderful! Such a small, energetic, playful and naughty puppy! My

husband and I took him yesterday to the vet. The doctor informed us that

Mini is doing absolutely great and he is looking good, he’s a bit on the

slim side but she assured us that it was fine as long as he’s eating right

and is getting plenty of sleep, which is the case with us so far, he is a

small dog after all. I showed her all the vaccination information that had

been sent to us from Europuppy and was pleased with the update but

recommended that we start his vaccinations over again just to make sure

everything is in order. So now he has had the first two vaccinations done

and we will be going back to the vet in the next 3-4 weeks to have the next

set of shots. Overall the trip to the vet was GREAT. Mini was such a good

boy, he was happy to be looked at by the vet but was a bit upset when he got

the shots. He’s in great shape and the vet said that he looks like he’s

going to be a great and healthy dog when he gets older.

Eddie, I can not thank you and the rest of the Europuppy enough, please use

my email as a reference to let everyone know how tremendous Europuppy have

been with me. Mini has been such an amazing addition to our home. He’s such

a good boy even though his potty training is a bit tough, but he’s a baby

and i have all the time in the world to make sure he’s going to be

well-trained. The fact that Mini arrived in such good and healthy spirits

after such a long journey to us was unexpected and its thanks to you and

Europuppy that he arrived safe and sound 🙂 Please also thank the breeders

for giving me a puppy as lovely as Mini, thanks to them he has such a loving

and bubbly personality without any major temperament issues. I can not ask

for more!

It has been an absolute pleasure corresponding with you. You and Europuppy

have been absolute professionals and never kept me impatiently waiting when

I had any enquiries to make (i know i was a nutcase at times, hehehehe).

Thank you so much Eddie! Thank you for everything! You have been wonderful

to correspond with and i will be sure to keep you updated on Mini. Please

let the breeders know that Mini is doing good, is healthy and happy 🙂 For

now, I have sent you two small pics of Mini.

Its been a pleasure and thank you again 🙂

Kindest Regards

Amal

Hi Eddie!

Just wanted to let you know that Mini is doing great!!! He had a little accident 2 nights ago, he jumped off a high surface before we can catch him, but suprisingly he was fine, we took him to the vet in case but the doctor assured us that he is fine,he sprained his right front leg but nothing serious and he will heel by himself. Now he’s back to normal, running around and being naughty as always 🙂 he’s such a loving puppy, everyone in the vet loves him, someone actually asked me if they can have him (of course I said NO,hehehe) he licks everyone he sees,he’s always wagging his tail and is such a happy puppy! We took him out for a small walk the other day, he hated the leash at first but I trained him to accept being on a leash, I let him sniff it and show him that he doesn’t have to be scared of it, I let him walk around with the leash hanging from him without me holding on, and now he loves it and loves going for walks. He’s learnt to sit, come, give me five (put his paw on my hand), leave things when I tell him… he’s such a quick learner! He’s put on some weight as well, 1.4 grams to be exact, which isn’t much but its good for him! We also took him to get groomed and now his hair on his face is shorter and we can see his eyes, hehehe. Eddie, he’s just perfect! And here are some pictures of him for u and the breeder.

Kindest Regards Amal

Eddie,

Ilka is adjusting very well. I have attached a photo of Holly and Ilka. Holly is enjoying this puppy so much as are Harry and I. We can tell this puppy received wonderful care prior to coming to live with us. She is so good natured and loves to play. Please thank the breeder for us and let them know that Ilka is well and happy.

Ilka knows her name, but was having some trouble with the word “no”. Holly looked up the Hungarian word for no and Ilka understands that just fine. Now, when she wants to jump on Holly, near her bad leg, Holly tells her “nem” and she stops. Ilka gets a little impatient walking on a leash with Holly because Holly has to walk so slow now, but she does well with me and very well with Harry. Harry and Ilka are best buddies; she follows him everywhere.

We plan on taking Holly and Ilka up in the mountains this weekend and hope to get some nice pictures of her. Ilka loves being outdoors. She runs in the yard every day, chasing falling leaves and playing.

Thank you so much for all of your help with our puppy. She is an absolute joy.

Linda

Eddie,

Ilka is amazing. She keeps us smiling and has been so good for our daughter as she recovers from knee surgery. All the wonderful things we read about the Transylvanian Hound’s temperament are true. Ilka charms everyone she meets, offering her paw to shake hands. Here is a new pic of our puppy. We are so happy with her.

Linda

Eddie,

Here is a new photo of Ilka taken yesterday. Today she passed her obedience training class. We are very proud of our beautiful puppy.

Linda

Hello Eddie, Here is a new pic of Ilka. She is doing very well. My son may be interested in a Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla. Please let me know if you have any of these puppies. We are visiting at his home now with Ilka and she has been wonderful with his daughters. She is such a good traveller.

Thank you, Linda

Please read below Carol’s email to an online newsletter:

Dear Dr Jonathan

In light of the articles in your newsletter on puppies, I would like to share my recent experience on how I went about finding the right puppy for our family.

We lost our Border Collie, Beaufort, about 18 months ago and after a year had passed we were missing having a dog around the house. Our dilemma was ‘where do we get a good puppy here in the UAE’ After we had taken some time to decide on what breed of puppy we wanted that would suit our lifestyle and the conditions here in Abu Dhabi, we decided on an English Cocker Spaniel. The world wide web is a wonderful thing and the next step was to research on the web to find a breeder. I found it was going to be difficult to get a pup from a traditional private breeder as I would have to travel to collect the puppy, this was only one of several other obstacles. During my research I came across a company called Europuppy who are based in Hungary. I read a glowing review (with pictures!) from some people in Dubai who had obtained an English Cocker from Europuppy a year ago and had just imported a second puppy recently. I browsed through the Europuppy website and found that they had several English Cocker Spaniel puppies who would be ready to go to a new home in September. Europuppy also had just about every breed imaginable and they ship all over the world. A long established organization, I decided to contact them.

Eddie from Europuppy responded to my enquiry straight away and the process was started. I can only say the Europuppy made the process very simple. Once the deposit was paid we just had to wait until ‘Checkers’ was old enough to travel to Abu Dhabi. During that time, Eddie sent photos of the pup as he was growing which was fantastic as we could see Checkers as he grew and felt like we were part of it and not missing out on any of the ely puppy stage. Puppies have to be a bit older to come to the UAE due to ministry regulations and normally you would get a pup earlier back home. These updates led to great excitement among the children and they could hardly wait for him to arrive!

As the time drew nearer we then had to arrange for the import permit. Here was where Europuppy really came into their own. They sent me step by step detailed instructions on exactly what to do to obtain entry for the pup to the UAE. They provided all the vaccination details along with the booking reference for the carriers airway bill and the phone numbers to contact at Abu Dhabi airport. They provided the link to the UAE Ministry of Environment website where I had to register and apply online for an import permit. The application procedure was very straightforward. I applied and received my Import Permit electronically within 24 hours. Once this was done all I had to do was ring the airline carrier at Abu Dhabi airport with the import permit information and confirm the flight with them and let Europuppy know – simple. At any time if I had a query Eddie was right there to help, along with the other staff who arranged the flights.

I was concerned about the pup traveling from Hungary to UAE especially since the flight was not direct and ‘Checkers’ had to spend 24 hours at Frankfurt airport. Who would look after our new family member during all that time? Eddie responded with assurances that the pup is well cared for in a special overnight facility at Frankfurt airport and not to worry. Always being the skeptic, I decided to look into the ‘animal facilities’ at Frankfurt airport myself and when I Googled it I was pleasantly surprised. Frankfurt airport is known to have the best import/export and in-transit facilities for animals in the world! The facility takes up the size of a football field and is staffed by 25 vets and 60 staff. All the world zoo animals, race horses etc all pass through this airport facility so I decided I need not worry any more!

As the date drew near for Checkers arrival it felt like Christmas was coming here at home. Checkers was due to arrive on a Thursday night so off we all went to the airport. The puppy arrived around 8.45p.m. (they always ship animals early morning or late evening in the summer months here) The cargo staff and customs staff at the airport were all very helpful and kept ringing the airlines arrivals team to hurry up the paperwork so we could get our puppy as soon as possible. We were taken to meet the vet, who stamped our paperwork and then straight to the cargo area to meet our puppy. The cargo area is not airconditioned but has a very high roof, open sides and lots of fans so was not too uncomfortable for September. Checkers arrived in a proper pet crate, not a wooden box and he was so excited to see us – tail wagging plus! While my husband completed the paperwork at Customs, the children and I entertained Checkers in his crate. The cargo staff provided fresh water for us (though Europuppy had advised us to take some with us) Once this was done, we were free to take Checkers home. All in all, the whole pickup procedure took about an hour and a half but would have been even shorter had there not been a change of shift at the cargo terminal during that time.

I know I have been quite detailed with our experiences but I wanted to show your readers how simple it is to import a good healthy puppy here from a reputable company like Europuppy. I cannot recommend Eddie and the team more highly and would be happy to share the information personally with anyone who is considering buying a new puppy. Europuppy are fantastic and the whole procedure could not be easier! Eddie can be contacted as well at eddie[@]europuppy.com if any of your readers would like more information.

I hope this information is helpful to prospective puppy owners. I have included a few happy snaps of our new addition as well!

Regards

Carol Wagner

Dear Eddie

Thought you might like to see how Checkers is doing! He is now fully grown and settled into the boating lifestyle here in Abu Dhabi Very easy to train him, he is the perfect puppy and we all love him!!! (Well he will be prefect once he stops chewing stuff while he is in puppy mode!) We may need a companion for him 🙂

Regards Carol Wagner, Abu Dhabi, UAE

Hello Eddie,

I hope all is well with you and once again thank you very much. He is very happy and healthy although his bravery nearly resulted in a broken leg yesterday so we are watching him very carefully.

He thinks he can fly! We have attached some pictures of him and I will send you a reference to use for your website.

His pad training is comming along superbly and after a couple of mistakes hes doing very well. He sleeps in his crate at night as well which he loves and has been made cosy for him.

To elminate the confusion on the vaccinations weve just restarted all his vaccinations from scratch yesterday just to be safe. His rabies is in 3 weeks. She cheked him and hes absoultely fine, especially his knees!

Thanks,

Amel

Many thanks to Eddie and the team at EuroPuppy who did an excellent job in getting us our Yorkie Tucker. They were so honest and open throughout the entire process, even at times when it was disappointing to us, the still made sure they informed us of any setbacks along the way and never once did they compromise in sending us an unhealthy puppy no matter how impatient we were to get one! Thank you very much Eddie!

I had previously tried to import a puppy myself and the results were devastating. Euro puppy’s door to doors service and all inclusive price really took all the pain out of the search!

Sincere regards,

Amel Osman

Hi Eddie

Sorry for keeping you waiting. I added some pix and hope you like them.

Buster is doing so well. His skin condition is under control again. We give him a bath once or twice a week with a special skin shampoo, and that really helped a lot. Maybe it was just a reaction to his new home country. It is a lot hotter and dustier here. So we cross our fingers that it will not come back.

Buster and I just finished puppy obedience training. We had a lot of fun together. I will send some pix from the training when I receive it from our trainer.

Otherwise he really likes when we take him along for a trip to the dessert or the beach. As long as he is with his family he is a happy pup, who gives us a lot of laughs as he turned out to be a little entertainer doing a lot of silly and funny things. He loves his daily walks, and thinks he is some how the king of the compound. He has already made some doggy friends, and loves it when we meet them on our walk. And it is always nice, when some of the kids stop to say “hi”. That is his ultimate favourite.

The kids love him very much and he returns it a 100 times again. He is always ready to play or to have some nice, cuttle on the lap.

Kind Regards Kira

Hi Eddie,

We got our Cane Corso puppy on the night of 22nd July 2010, after he had a long flight. He is a great looking pup and very playful. My kid and he are playing like buddies although he’s been with us for only a day. We didn’t expect him to be so big at just 10 weeks, he going to be a huge dog. We have named him “Masimo” (Italian: meaning Greatest). So we just need to be disciplined while training and he shows promise to be a lovely family protector. I am attaching a couple of snaps of the puppy with my kid. We thank you guyz for your help and effort in helping us choose the pup. Hopefully we’ll get another one soon from you all.
