● Best for: calm, patient owners with daily access to a safely enclosed space for off-leash running; a manageable choice for first-time owners who appreciate quiet independence over eager-to-please obedience.

● Think carefully if: you share your home with cats, rabbits, or small pets — the prey drive is hardwired and cannot be recalled mid-chase; also worth knowing this coat needs 2–3 brushings a week and sheds heavily twice a year.

● Ideal home: a peaceful household where someone is home for most of the day, with a securely fenced garden or reliable daily access to a large enclosed running area.
